History of the Spanish Language
This course, offered in Spanish using multimedia, will present an in-depth study of the present-day grammatical structure of the Spanish language and introduce students to the history of Spanish from its Latin origins to its current use in Spain, Latin America and elsewhere. Students will analyze the language and the cultural context of a variety of texts from Spain and Latin America. The norms and variations of Modern Spanish will be studied.
