Evidence-Based Security

This course will introduce students to the scientific method, and build an appreciation of how this rigorous method enables an understanding of the broad sweep of cyber threats and the ability to assess trade-offs in sustaining network missions while mitigating attacks. Elements of cyber-risk/cybersecurity will be examined from the point of view of confidentiality, integrity, availability, risk, adversarial thinking, and systems thinking.
