Environment and Emergencies
Basic aspects of air and water pollution and soil contamination are covered, along with an introduction to federal and provincial environmental legislation. Transportation spills, natural disasters, major industrial fires and explosions, epidemics, terrorism and other aspects of emergency preparedness are covered. Both federal and provincial emergency preparedness legislation are examined. Issues concerning the integration of environmental protection and emergency preparedness into management systems are introduced.
