Politics of Regional Economic Integration
This course examines the uneven development of regional economic integration efforts in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa within the context of a relationship between economic globalization and regionalization. It analyzes the dyadic relationship among regional trade blocs (CUSMA or former NAFTA, EU, ASEAN and ECOWAS), international organizations (WTO and IMF) and member states. Finally, the course assesses regional integration's economic, political and social implications for
nation-states and their citizens (Global).
