European Union
The European Union (EU) was launched as the European Economic Community (EEC) to achieve 'an ever closer union between the peoples of Europe' after World War II. To answer the question of why and how independent European states decide to pool their sovereignty, this course offers a broader picture of European integration by focusing on the history, theoretical approaches, institutions, policies, and challenges of the EU.
