Government and the Economy
This course compares key economic policies in Canada and the United States from
neoclassical, institutional, and critical perspectives. The course mainly considers continuity and reversals in fiscal, monetary, competition, industrial, labour market, agricultural, and trade policies within the context of economic globalization. The course focuses on the rationale behind and mechanics of individual policies, followed by the historical processes and politics that shape them and policy outcomes. (Policy)
