Ontario Politics
Given its geography, the size of its population and its economic vitality, the politics of Ontario shape the power relationships in Canada. It also affects the policy fields that closely affect people’s lives: health, education, transportation, and local governments. Ontario’s politics, now as in the past, are complex. This course specifically examines the ideological, economic, social, and political forces that continue to affect the politics of the fifth largest sub-national jurisdiction in North America.
