Introductory Kanyen'kéha I
This course concentrates on developing students' speaking proficiency of Kanyen'kéha (Mohawk) at the novice level. Kanyen'kéha being a verb-based and polysynthetic language, this course will focus on conversation and verb construction in order to provide students with a strong foundation to progress with learning Kanyen'kéha. Students will develop an understanding of the basic grammatical structures and will also explore Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) culture, traditions, and perspective as they relate to language.
