Indigenous Design Practices
This course examines Indigenous design practices, with an emphasis on the indigenous design forms of Canada. The relationships between Indigenous design
and Indigenous Ways of Knowing are examined. In addition, the course considers the
role of ethics within the development of Indigenous design, calling into question the
relationship between design history and theory and the space of Indigenous design, its definitions, redefinition and recognition.
