Introduction to Attic Greek
This course is for students with no previous knowledge of Attic Greek wishing to acquaint themselves with the culture of 5th and 4th centuries BCE Greece, by studying the written language of this period. Using historical texts, students acquire the working vocabulary they need to read authentic Attic Greek texts with intermediate fluency, with the support of grammars and dictionaries. Through the study of historical texts, the sociocultural reality of Greece in Antiquity is presented.
