Writing Short Stories
This experiential course reinforces the art and craft of short fiction writing. Students encounter diverse models of short fiction and texts on writing craft to enhance their knowledge of characterization, plot, and setting. Students write realist fiction of varying lengths, revise literary drafts, and participate in workshops to give and receive critique as they work towards preparing a culminating fiction portfolio.
