Children with Disabilities
This course is an introduction to early intervention and education of young children with disabilities and those at risk for development delay. Strategies for adapting curriculum and the learning environment to promote the healthy growth, development and learning of children with specific disabilities are discussed. Foundation topics include historical perspectives, current legislation, early identification, positive behavioural supports, inclusion, and family-centred approaches.
