Sustainable Environmental Control Systems

This course explores the role of sustainable mechanical, electrical and control systems for buildings. Students explore innovative ways of heating, cooling, ventilating and lighting buildings. The course will consider renewable energy technologies, such as solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass energy, and the implications of their use on architectural form and details. Analysis techniques for choosing appropriate options are presented.
