Toronto Met Honorary Doctorates and Fellowships
Toronto Met Fellowships were awarded from 1979 to 1995.
Toronto Metropolitan University began awarding Honorary Doctoral Degrees (Honoris Causa) in 1996.
Toronto Met awards its highest honour to those who have made extraordinary contributions:
- to academia and/or society in Canada, or internationally, particularly in fields of interest to Toronto Met; or
- to the development of the University; or to the betterment of culture, or society, or the local community.
