Fashion Film, Cinema and New Media
This lecture-based course explores the formal and social contexts of
fashion film, cinema and new media from a historical and theoretical
perspective. Fashion and the moving image are examined using contemporary
theories of representation related to issues of class, race, gender,
sexuality and so forth. Various formats are considered including popular
cinema, experimental film/video, and expanded cinema. Lecture format.
