A total of six to seven courses is required, as grouped and noted below.
No more than two courses may be taken from any one subject area.
Upon transfer to Criminology, English, Environment and Urban Sustainability, Geographic Analysis, History, Language and Intercultural Relations, Philosophy, Politics and Governance, Psychology, or Sociology, or to any one of the three double major programs (English and History; English and Philosophy; History and Philosophy), courses with an asterisk (*) that correspond to the program selected will be used to satisfy the core course requirements within the respective program and are thus not included in the Table I requirements. Please see the Transferability Guidelines for more details on program transfer requirements.
