Data Visualization
Students will gather, prepare and analyze datasets and discover what stories are hidden in the numbers. They will then learn to tell these journalistic stories accurately and engagingly through the use of interactive charts, infographics and other dynamic forms of multimedia, applying an evidence-based understanding of how people synthesize visual information. This course requires comfort with spreadsheets, basic numeracy and using graphic production tools.
