Text, Image and Sound

In the contemporary city we are surrounded by media and artifacts that attempt to persuade us to buy, believe or behave in certain ways. This course provides students with analytical tools to understand how text, image and sound combine to create persuasive objects. Using concepts, issues, and theory, this course focuses on the design and use of media in urban space and how text, image, and sound interact to create meaningful urban experiences.
