- Child and Youth CarePage Description:Ryerson's Child and Youth Care program is focused on research and practice which integrates developmental, preventative and therapeutic requirements into the life space of children, youth, families and communities. Practitioner's work to design and implement programs and planned environments to support optimal growth in today's world.
- Disability StudiesPage Description:The Disability Studies program prepares students for leadership roles in a variety of areas including direct care, management, community development, policy, planning, and advocacy.
- Early Childhood StudiesPage Description:The development, health and well-being of children in our society are strongly influenced by the work of early childhood educators. These individuals support children’s learning and growth in the early years, and for life. Ryerson graduates in this rewarding field make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- MidwiferyPage Description:This baccalaureate degree program prepares graduates to be eligible to apply for registration as midwives in Ontario, and meets recognized national and international standards. Graduates work as registered health-care professionals who provide primary Midwifery care, conduct births in home, birth centre and hospital settings, and provide care after birth for birthing parents and their babies up to six weeks of age.
- Nursing - Collaborative ProgramPage Description:A four-year collaborative degree program offered in partnership by Ryerson University, Centennial College and George Brown College. Students admitted at each campus complete the same program.
- Nursing - Post-Diploma Degree CompletionPage Description:The Post-Diploma Degree Completion Program in Nursing is designed to prepare a more liberally educated nurse to function in a variety of roles and health care settings. One unique feature of the program is that it allows students to develop skills in the clinical area of choice. Students capitalize on past experience, have the opportunity to develop their own learning objectives and apply knowledge in an area in which they have professional goals.
- Nutrition and FoodPage Description:The School of Nutrition offers a four-year baccalaureate program that focuses on nutrition, food and health from an integrative and multi-disciplinary perspective. The School provides a diverse learning environment that prepares nutrition and food graduates for professional careers, reflective practice and responsible citizenship informed by our engagement in research and scholarship.
- Occupational and Public HealthPage Description:The School of Occupational and Public Health (SOPHe) offers a four-year undergraduate degree leading to a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in either Public Health and Safety or Occupational Health and Safety. A two-year degree option exists for students who enter the program with an undergraduate degree or higher.
- Social WorkPage Description:The Ryerson School of Social Work’s mission is to prepare graduates for critically engaged social work practice with marginalized populations and communities; and to develop leadership and innovation in social work education, at the undergraduate and graduate level, through teaching, scholarship, research and community service.
- Urban and Regional PlanningPage Description:Urban and regional planners are concerned with the development and improvement of human settlements. In their work, they deal with how sectors such as housing, transportation, parks, and industrial uses interconnect, and the effects of these activities on the natural environment, social well-being, and the local economy. They have a professional obligation to pay attention to public aspirations and goals and to promote actions that safeguard resources for the long-term future.
