Materials Chemistry

Solid state materials are at the leading edge of many new technologies. This course focuses on the relationship between the synthesis, properties and function of materials with extended structures. Topics include the theory and chemistry of important conducting materials such as charge transfer salts, semiconductors, and superconductors; optoelectric materials; zeolites and nonporous structures.
