Ryerson Honorary Doctorates and Fellowships

Ryerson Fellowships were awarded from 1979 to 1995 to the individuals named below for outstanding work in the fields indicated.

Ryerson University began awarding Honorary Doctoral Degrees (Honoris Causa) in 1996.

Ryerson awards its highest honour to those who have made extraordinary contributions:

  • to academia and/or society in Canada, or internationally, particularly in fields of interest to Ryerson; or
  • to the development of the University; or to the betterment of culture, or society, or the local community.
