Contemporary Science

Degree Awarded: Bachelor of Science (BSc)

Program Format: Full-time, four-year program.
Full-time, five-year co-op program.
 

The Contemporary Science program admitted the final cohort for the program in Fall 2014. While no new students will be admitted into the program, the program curriculum will continue to be available to all continuing program students. Further information regarding the phase-out of the program may be obtained from the First Year and Common Science Office. 

Liberal Studies

Students must take three lower level liberal studies courses and three upper level liberal studies courses to graduate. Students must not choose courses that are restricted for their program or major.

Table A - Lower Level Restrictions

Biology, Chemistry, Contemporary Science, Financial Mathematics, Medical Physics, Undeclared Science

PCS 111, PCS 181, PCS 182, BLG 181, BMS 150, CHY 182, CHY 183 and SCI courses are not available for credit.  

Table B - Upper Level Restrictions

Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Contemporary Science, Financial Mathematics, Medical Physics

BLG 599, BLG 699, CHY 583, MTH 511, MTH 599 and PCS 581 are not available for credit.
