Jordana Salma is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. Her program of research (IREA: Implementation Research for Equity in Aging) focuses on the health and wellbeing of immigrant and racialized older adults in Canada. Jordana is particularly interested in exploring cross-cultural and transnational dimensions of aging and the ways dominant health and immigration policies, practices, and discourses shape aging experiences. She draws from Feminist, Transnational, and Post-Colonial perspectives and my methodological expertise is in qualitative and participatory methods. Jordana has led projects using different qualitative methodologies, arts-based approaches, community-based participatory research, integrated knowledge translation and mixed-methods.
