Feng Hou

Feng Hou is a principal researcher with Social Analysis and Modelling Division, Statistics Canada and an adjunct professor of sociology at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a PhD in social demography from the University of Western Ontario. His research focuses on the socioeconomic integration of immigrants and the second generation, dynamics of social diversity, minority-majority social interaction, and subjective wellbeing. He has published over 180 journal articles, book chapters and government reports in these areas. His research results have been frequently used by government departments to measure the performance of immigrants and inform policy decisions.
