Our goal is to help foster community, identity, and a sense of belonging to campus and to assist you in navigating the various systems at TMU.

Black Renaissance Fest

February 24th & 25th, 2025

Step into a world where Black creativity, business and culture collide! The Black Renaissance Fest is a two-day festival of Black art, business, and talent, designed to uplift and amplify the voices of our communities.

In My Career Bag

March 12, 2025 from 5 PM to 7 PM

A conversation with industry experts on how to know your value in the workplace when it comes to pay negotiation, workplace safety and career advancement.

Black Flourishing Conference

March 14, 2025

A full day event designed to celebrate, empower and centre Black student success. This year’s conference will provide a space to make meaningful connections and explore themes of well-being, unlock confidence, and personal empowerment. 

Black Student Lounge Events

In addition to providing a safe space for TMU Black community members, the Black Student Lounge (BSL) is used to host events. The Black Student Success team collaborates across the university to deliver regular programming in the BSL.

The vibrant and colourful mural on the wall in the Black Student Lounge includes Black folks in grad robes, hoop earrings and sunglasses.
