Dr. Reza Faieghi

Prof. Reza Faieghi is the director of the Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory (AVL) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He has 12+ years of academic and industrial experience in control theory, machine learning, and real-time software development. His research is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Ontario Center of Innovation, and Mitacs. His research has led to several industry-academia partnership projects with Bombardier Inc., Ford Motor Company, Drone Delivery Canada, SOTI Inc., and Veyond Metaverse. His research has led to more than 40 scientific publications and more than $1.6M CAD in research funding over the past three years. He is a member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
