Admission requirements
Program and subject requirements
Each program has specific requirements for admission. Please visit the program pages for information about the requirements.
English language requirements
Some applicants may be required to present proof of English language proficiency. Visit English language requirements for more information, including acceptable tests and scores.
General admission policy
All secondary and post-secondary studies are considered in the competitive selection process (unless otherwise noted). Admission is based on competitive overall averages and grades in subject requirements. Admission averages are based on two decimal places and are not rounded. Grade 11 results may be used in the early admission process. There are some Grades-Plus program requirements also known as non-academic requirements (e.g. portfolio, essay, interview, audition).
Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Due to competition, applicants may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum. Admission consideration is based on the information available at the time of application review. TMU may issue alternate Offers of Admission for some programs. Applicants are notified of alternate offers via the ChooseTMU Applicant Portal.
