
Monique Simon-Tucker
Monique Simon-Tucker (she/they) is a dynamic professional committed to advancing equity, confronting anti-Black racism and enhancing system efficiency. In her former role as the executive assistant for TMU’s Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion, she was a linchpin connecting executives, employees, clients and external partners to the department. Beyond her organizational prowess, Monique has harnessed a passion for technological innovation and its potential to enhance processes and information flow.
Prior to joining TMU, Monique worked directly with students, faculty and staff as a records and student services coordinator at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. In this capacity, she managed student assessments and accommodations, coordinated events such as graduation ceremonies and ensured the seamless administration of academic processes—from an equity lens.
With a Master's in Social Work specializing in social justice from the University of Toronto, Monique’s career narrative is characterized by a commitment to equity and anti-Black racism advocacy and an ability to drive institutional efficiency and innovation through technology.
