Stacy’s course literature review and paper exploring the history of Black midwives in Nova Scotia was helpful in our very first grant application that funded our pilot in 2019 with the hiring of our first BIPOC RAs for the CMOC project.  Stacy is a powerful ally of BIPOC students and shares a deep understanding of the lived experience of oppression and resilience.  Although Stacy has not worked formally as an RA, she continues to participate in searching for historical leads and sources of data.
