Call for Papers

** DEADLINE EXTENDED**

CERC Migration invites paper abstract submissions for the fourth season of its Migration Working Group. The series provides researchers with the opportunity to present new and ongoing projects, learn about each other’s work and share feedback. We invite submissions of work in progress from authors who can benefit from the opportunity to present and discuss work with an interdisciplinary group of scholars and graduate students.

Our Migration Working Group sessions will be held every last Tuesday of the month, starting September 2022 and running until May 2023.

Please send to cerc.migration@torontomu.ca by July 10, 2022 (NEW DATE):

• A one-page paper abstract (approx. 400 words) outlining your research question, methodology and expected findings, and
• A 300-word biographical note

You will be notified about the acceptance and scheduling of your paper by July 29, 2022.

We welcome papers with both quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches that relate to any of our thematic areas or that focus on issues of data and methodology.

We anticipate that the Migration Working Group meetings will take place as either a fully in-person event or in a hybrid format, and will be in line with Ryerson University’s health and safety regulations and procedures that are in place at the time of the event. Presenters should plan to attend their respective meeting in person, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Please note: CERC Migration may provide nominal travel support to presenters who come from outside the greater Toronto metropolitan area.
