BRaVE Fair showcases local community responses to violent extremism and polarization
Violent extremism and polarization are issues that can affect any community, and some of the most effective responses can be led by local communities and youth groups.
The Building Resilience against Violent Extremism and Polarisation (BRaVE) project invites all to attend the BRaVE Fair and learn about grassroots projects underway in communities throughout Europe.
The BRaVE Fair is the flagship event of the BRaVE project and is aimed to support and showcase new European grassroots projects. It brings together local communities, independent experts and European Union (EU) research to encourage innovative, youth-led arts and sports-based innovations against violent extremism and polarization.
Here’s how you can help to shape the future of resilience in Europe
BRaVE Fair has brought together 15 innovative, youth-focused ideas that are seeking to create interfaith dialogue and community resilience through the arts and sports.
Help the BRaVE project to decide which of these ideas will be put into action with BRaVE funding and support!
WATCH the short videos of the 15 project finalists from 10 different countries.
VOTE for your favourite projects and most innovative approaches.

The BRaVE project is led by the European University Institute in Florence, Italy and made up of a consortium of six other partners from across Europe (three civil society organizations and three universities). It aims to bring together a broad range of expertise from those researching and working to build resilience against violent extremism and polarization. Anna Triandafyllidou, the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Migration and Integration at Ryerson University, is the scientific coordinator for the project.
