Research focus while a Fellow with CERC
Annie will be exploring the role of municipal governments in supporting immigrant integration with a particular focus on innovative strategies to promote naturalization and belonging to the City. She will engage with local government representatives, CERC Migration researchers, and other Toronto-based stakeholders to better understand local strategies in this area, identify practices that may be shared and adopted with US cities to further promote naturalization and establish ongoing channels for knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the US-Canada border.
