Nicole Lee is an Anishinaabe Kwe of Couching First Nation in Northern Ontario. She currently is living in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Nicole is a research assistant at CERC Migration. She began this journey after being a participant in the inaugural “i am…” project produced by CERC Migration in 2020. Nicole is now the co-creative producer of the project, WhereWeStand, which successfully launched February 23 and 25, 2024, in Halifax and Brantford. Nicole will be continuing her work looking to create opportunities for the Indigenous peoples and newcomers across Turtle Island to co-create expressions of identity.
