I am a doctoral researcher undertaking an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded studentship at the University of Glasgow in the interdisciplinary field of Medical Sociology and Disability Studies. My PhD project investigates key workers experiences of returning to work with Long Covid- a new undocumented disability in policy and practice. This work builds on my MA Dissertation in Sociology investigating health inequalities among women with chronic health conditions and my MSc and research assistant expertise on the topic of Long Covid. Using a participatory approach and flexible arts-based methods, my project aims to develop a greater understanding of gaps in lived experience, policy, and practice. I can’t wait to join the CERC Health Equity and Community Wellbeing team at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) to learn from others working in similar research fields and develop contacts between the University of Glasgow and TMU.
