Linda Rothman

Linda Rothman is an Assistant Professor at the School of Occupational and Public Health at Toronto Metropolitan University and an Assistant Professor (status only) the University of Toronto. Her early career was as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. Currently, Dr Rothman is an injury prevention epidemiologist with expertise in equity issues related to child unintentional injuries and in vulnerable road user injuries in urban environments. Her research is currently primarily focused on equity issues related to road safety; as equity-deserving areas have higher collision and injury rates, and there is inequitable implementation of  road safety features across urban areas in Canada.  

Dr Rothman currently holds several Canadian Institutes of Health Research grants, including the Healthy Cities CapaCITY/É implementation science team grant involving researchers working together with municipalities across Canada and Australia to examine the equitable implementation and evaluation of interventions focused on speed reduction and All Ages and Abilities Bicycle Networks.
