
Line Melbøe
Line Melbøe is a professor of Disability Studies at UiT, the Arctic University of Norway. Her work focuses on disability and participation in school, work, leisure, politics, and inclusive research. Melbøe has a specific interest in intersectionality, and especially the combination of disability and indigeneity. She has also explored consequences of the pandemic on everyday life for people with intellectual disabilities.
Melbøe held a PhD in Health Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2011). Together with two colleagues she has edited a book regarding work inclusion. She has also published articles and chapters in several peer-reviewed journals and books.
At UiT, the Arctic University of Norway Melbøe teaches at the master program in Welfare Change, at the PhD-course “Disability and Inclusion Research”. She has also served on the editorial board for the scientific journal Fontene Forskning for ten years.
