Dr. Usha George, Project Director (2018–2021) is recognized for her expertise in newcomer settlement and integration. She has completed 10 studies in the field of newcomer settlement for the Ontario Region Settlement Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as well as several studies funded by the SSHRC. Dr. George is based in the School of Social Work and is the Director of the Toronto Metropolitan Centre for Immigration and Settlement (TMCIS) at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Mira Boskovic, Project Coordinator (2019–2021) has extensive experience working as a research manager both in clinical and academic settings. She has been involved in multiple multi-million large scale longitudinal projects focused on the health, children’s social and emotional development and adjustment of immigrants and refugees across Canada.

Thomas Howe, Research Assistant (2019–2021) is an experienced research assistant with considerable experience working in academic research. He recently earned a Social Service Worker – Gerontology Diploma from Sheridan College and has worked extensively with the Sheridan Centre for Elder Research.
