About this event

Designing and using rubrics can be daunting and mystifying for instructors and students alike. In this session, we will discuss good practices in constructing and co-constructing rubrics, for a variety of assessments, that align with course learning outcomes, communicate expectations clearly to students, and support the fair and consistent assessment of student work. Participants will learn about key steps in rubric design, engage in hands-on exercises, and have a chance to ask questions.

Excellence in Teaching Program (ETP) Workshop Series

This event is open to all faculty and instructors and is part of the Excellence in Teaching Program.

The Excellence in Teaching Program (ETP), is designed by the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching to provide faculty with opportunities to enhance the impact of their teaching, and participate in a community of educators committed to excellence and equity in teaching and learning. As part of the ETP framework, participants attend a total of five workshops. ETP workshops are open to the entire teaching community, and will evolve to meet the needs and interests of faculty over time. Learn more about the program.
