Peer Evaluation Week

The TMU teaching community is invited to Peer Evaluation Week, to learn, explore, and discuss shared experiences with peer evaluation in the classroom. Help to shape the future of peer evaluation at TMU!
Peer evaluation activities can allow staff and educators to provide students with varied and valuable learning experiences, building skills that can be used outside of the classroom. During Peer Evaluation Week, participants can explore some of the ways to include peer evaluation as a part of their courses and discuss the tools used to facilitate these activities.

Date: November 13, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Location: Virtual Online
Session description
From the smallest seminar to the largest lecture, offering opportunities for students to provide feedback to their peers can add value and depth to the learning experience. However, this can be difficult to implement, particularly in larger classes. As part of Peer Evaluation Week, we welcome the teaching community to join us for this interactive opportunity to experiment with tech-enabled peer evaluation tools currently supported by TMU that can help streamline peer evaluation process
As a participant, you will engage in two simulated scenarios where you will utilize different tools from a student's perspective. Then, we'll provide a behind-the-scenes look at the setup for both scenarios. Time for questions and comments regarding using such technologies across various disciplines will also be provided.
