Leadership Programs

Leadership Programs will not be offered in 2025.
We’re excited to continue offering engaging experiences through our Architecture, Basketball, Digital Creativity, Fun With Food, Hockey, and Volleyball camps.
Description
The Leader-In-Training (LIT) program is a two-week leadership experience that provides opportunities for participants to focus on the development of essential leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, giving and receiving feedback, and public speaking.
Through peer-to-peer feedback, game-based skill development, and opportunities to lead younger camper groups, LITs become more well-rounded leaders and excellent candidates for future Counsellors-in-Training (CITs). With the help of their facilitators, LITs apply their skills in volunteer roles at camp, earning 25-35 volunteer hours across the two weeks.
The LIT program is designed to prepare youth to thrive in leadership roles in the classroom, on a team, and in our Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program. While the LIT program provides an excellent foundation for the Counsellor-in-Training program, it is not required to have completed the LIT program before enrolling in CIT.
Daily Schedule
The typical day for this camp runs from 8:30am - 4:30pm. CITs can expect to take part in engaging workshops, sporting games, and activity planning.
The first week of each session comprises workshops & seminars focused on intrapersonal development, while the second week is designated towards leadership skill applications through the facilitation of Camp programs for a younger camper group.
Ages
All campers 14 - 16 years old (as of December 31)

Description
The Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) program is a two-week leadership training experience that provides opportunities for participants to focus on cooperative learning, leadership, and advanced development of coaching and instruction skills.
Through peer-to-peer feedback, game-based skill development, and opportunities to lead younger camper groups, CITs become more well-rounded leaders and excellent candidates for future Camp Counsellor roles.
With the help of their facilitators, CITs apply their skills in volunteer roles at camp, earning 25-35 volunteer hours across the two weeks.
In an effort to ensure they are qualified to embrace the role of Counsellor, all CITs receive a 50% discount on courses in Standard First Aid offered by Toronto Metropolitan University Aquatics.
While the CIT program is designed to build on concepts in the Leader-in-Training (LIT) program, participants are not required to have completed the LIT program before enrolling.
