Strategy Development in Uncertain Times

While traditional approaches to strategic analysis are important, organizations face highly disruptive environments and must go beyond traditional approaches to compete in a changing world. This course builds on courses in strategy to address the challenges of innovation and disruption. Students learn about theories of creative disruption, uncertainty, risk, innovation and entrepreneurial behaviour as well as modern approaches to strategy development and implementation. The use of business models to analyse current industries and businesses and develop new ones is examined. Students also gain practical experience by working in groups on strategic cases.
