Intro to Contemporary Business Strategy
The intention of this course is to introduce students to the concepts underlying strategic analysis, in terms of both business strategy and corporate strategy, including long-established tools for environmental/industry analysis and the assessment of an organization's resources and capabilities. Students will also be introduced to more recent theories related to creative disruption, uncertainty, risk, innovation, intrapreneurship, and corporate responsibility and sustainability. Group work will involve in-class strategic simulation exercises.
