Structure for Performing Arts
Examination of the application of physics in the performance industry: issues affecting structural design of theatres; permanent (hemp, counterweight, motorized) and temporary (truss and motors) rigging systems; load calculations; safe rigging practices; fall arrest; engineering and construction of scenic elements.
