Advanced Approaches to Media Analysis
This course offers an advanced level study of media communication via critical research methods used in the field. It offers an overview of the methodological approaches utilized in critical media studies, such as content, narrative, discourse, frame, and semiotic analysis. The relationships among method, research question creation, and data collection are examined. Assignments focus on popular and everyday media culture and content.
