Nutrition for your Health
This online open elective course enables non-nutrition students to examine how their food choices impact their health and disease risk, to understand the roles of nutrients, vitamins and minerals in their bodies and to select foods that optimize their health. Using a personalized, applied approach, students analyze their food intake and physical activity and apply evidence-based recommendations for adults to guide healthy choices. Contemporary topics, including plant-based diets and cultured meats are discussed.
