The Queer Interior

This course examines the concepts of interiority and queerness from the nineteenth century to the present to understand how these ideas are central to our conception of the contemporary world. Archetypically queer interior spaces are investigated to understand how characteristics of these spaces are concentrations of those of more normative spaces. We will look at queer and gender theory to consider contemporary issues related to the lives of LGBTQ2S+ people in our societies.
