Managing Interpersonal Dynamics and Teams
A manager's success is highly dependent upon his or her self-awareness, and knowledge of techniques for effectively managing interpersonal dynamics and teams. The course moves from a focus on the management of self to a focus on the management of others, individually and in teams. Topics include: increasing self-awareness, stress management, building relationship and supportive communication, gaining power and influence, negotiating and resolving conflict, empowering and engaging others, leading positive change and building effective teams. This course is intended for students who already possess a conceptual foundation in organizational behaviour. (formerly MGT 741)
