Epidemiology
This course introduces the student to epidemiology. In addition to a strong focus on communicable disease control, epidemiology also addresses non-communicable diseases, and the prevention of accidents, injuries, and deaths in the community and in workplaces. Methods, definitions, terminology, rates, classification of diseases, and investigation techniques are presented, as well as numerous case studies and examples taken from the field to illustrate principles of surveillance and containment.
