AI: Sociotechnical Perspective
This course provides a critical introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its various
applications in the real world. The course starts with introducing students to the historical and philosophical background of AI, including key figures and ideas that have influenced the development of the field over the past few decades as well as its most recent advances. The course provides students with frameworks to understand and appraise the social, cultural, and scientific context of AI and enables students to critically evaluate the pros and cons of AI applications.
