Principles of nanotechnology and its relevance to chemical engineering; nanostructured materials and their applications; different types of engineering materials of metals, ceramics, polymers and composites; nanoscale details of the materials; their properties, characterizations, and manufacturing methods; unique applications in electronics, sporting, energy production, and other emerging technologies; study of the toxicological effects of the materials.
